History Of HTML

IBM sowed the seeds for Html in early 1980s.Initally,it was known by the name called GML (Generalised Markup Language)

It was a powerful language that aimed at creating a document in which one could mark the little,heading,text,font selection and much more,In 1986,this concept got standardization by ISO and was renamed to SGML (Standard Generalised Markup Language).In 1986 Sir Tim Berner Lee  and his team redesigned the language and named it as HTML (Hyper Text Mark-up language)

What Is Hyper Text Mark-up language

HTML  :      Html stands for Hyper Text Markup Language.It is complete code pacakeges that allows a user to create web pages.It includes text and graphics.You can add link to your webpages.Hyperlink are the highlighted text segment or images that connect a page to another pages on the web.

Hypertext  :  Hypertext is the text used to link various webpages.It is text on a webpage.

Mark Up    : It means highlighting the text either by underlining or displaying it on different colours.

Language   : It refers the mode of  communication between webpages.HTML has its own syntax and                       rule.
